Founded in 1988, the Setz agricultural butcher sees itself as a continuation of a traditional agricultural company.
The parents of the managing director, Volker Setzer, already ran a successful pig farm. Here master butcher Volker Setzer was allowed to enrich his knowledge and experience to the point of becoming a master craftsman and becoming self-employed. He got to know and appreciate quality and regional products.
In his own company, master butcher Volker Setzer still attaches great importance to quality and traditional craftsmanship.
Here animals from the Hohenlohe region (Kocher, Jagst and Bühlertal) are processed into first-class meat and sausage products.
The Landmetzgerei Setzer is a QS-certified company and obtains its pigs from the farmers Martin Niebel from Goggenbach and from Ulrich Kühnle from Wolpertshausen.
There the animals are raised and fed in accordance with the QZBW (according to the requirements of the “Baden-Württemberg Quality Mark”) with exclusively GM-free feed.
